About Us

Martyn Killion and Heather Garnsey have been involved in family history for over 30 years. As well as their own family history research, they have been involved in the family history community at various times on both a paid and volunteer basis.

 

Martyn Killion was a foundation staff member of the Western Sydney Reading Room at State Records Western Sydney Records Centre and worked at State Records until 2003. He has also been President, Vice-President, Education Convenor, Honorary Archivist and Honorary Librarian of the Society of Australian Genealogists, President of the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations and NSW representative of the Australasian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents. Martyn is also a Fellow of the Society of Australian Genealogists.

 

Heather Garnsey is Executive Officer with the Society of Australian Genealogists, having joined the staff in 1984. She has also been President of the NSW & ACT Association of Family History Societies and Vice-President and Secretary of the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisations. Heather is also a Fellow of the Society of Australian Genealogists and Associate Fellow of the Society of Genealogists (London).
